As you have likely read, the Star Tribune is exiting their north loop printing location at the end of the year. We have been given an opportunity to sketch in the printing plant before closure. Come join us as we capture a bit of history in our sketches.
Please enter through the main entrance. Marita Albinson and Dan Chapman will meet us. Dan will be the one to give instructions on where to go and what's available to sketch.
There is a scanner at the facility, and the Star Tribune has requested that they would like to capture our original sketches for future use, if you so chose.
If any artist wants to donate their work to the Minnesota Star Tribune for posterity, it would be welcomed! They may use the originals in a one-time display, either in mid December or early January.
Parking is available on street in the area. While the timing is over lunch, we will be sketching the entire time and there will not be food available.
See you there for this unique opportunity!
