Across the globe, LGBTIQ refugees and asylum seekers face overwhelming challenges — from hunger and discrimination to unsafe living conditions and shrinking humanitarian aid. These conditions have been made worse by recent political attacks and funding cuts. ORAM works to change that reality by creating pathways to safety, self-sufficiency, and belonging for some of the world's most vulnerable people.
Reclaiming Resilience: Livelihoods Making a Lasting Impact is a critical opportunity to rally support for ORAM's work and raise essential funds to sustain our programs. It's also a chance to gather with our Minneapolis community to explore how ORAM's economic empowerment initiatives are helping LGBTIQ refugees rebuild their lives with stability and purpose, and how we are fighting back against the attacks on our communities.
This year's breakfast gathering will feature catering from Diane's Place - Food & Wine Magazine's 2025 Restaurant of the Year. Not only is Diane's food award-winning, but her story is a great connection to ORAM's work. The daughter of Hmong refugees, after two decades as a pastry chef across the Twin Cities, she opened her restaurant, where she now creates opportunities for others in her community.
Join us for this impactful panel discussion featuring ORAM clients and staff to reflect on the importance of work opportunities and the results of ORAM's livelihood programming.
Your participation helps raise the funds ORAM needs to grow our work. Join us in changing lives.
