Join Chicago poet Dawn Tefft and a Twin Cities friends Micah Ruelle and Haley Lasché for an afternoon of poetry.
Dawn Tefft's poems appear in Fence, Denver Quarterly, and Sentence. Once Upon a Riot, her first full-length poetry book, came out through Match Factory Editions in June 2025. Her chapbooks include Gosling (Anhinga Press), Fist (Dancing Girl Press), and Field Trip to My Mother and Other Exotic Locations (Mudlark). She earned a PhD in English with a concentration in Creative Writing at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, volunteers as an editor for Packingtown Review, and works as a union representative in Chicago.
Micah Ruelle is a queer poet, educator, editor, and youth advocate residing in the Twin Cities. Their first chapbook, Failure to Merge, was published in 2019 by Finishing Line Press. Their second chapbook, Clean Getaway, has been a finalist/semifinalist in competitions for the YesYes Books Vinyl Chapbook Competition, Nine Syllables Press, and Concrete Wolf competitions (respectively) and is still looking for a home. They recently attended the Iowa Writers' Summer Workshop and was a scholarship recipient of the Elk River Writer's Workshop. Haley Lasché is the co-owner, co-founder and co-editor of Beauty School Editions and the founder, editor and designer of Concision Poetry Journal. She teaches college writing and literature and has two chapbooks: Where It Leads and Blood and Survivor. Her debut poetry collection, ONE was published in 2023.
