**Beginner Friendly BYP**
(TD discretion on this handicap if you have a series on every rod, don't expect this handicap; if you've played in multiple large tournaments or for more than 2 years, don't expect this handicap.
It will be specified by the TD at event start.)
We will use the Appleton point spot handicapping system in the bring 3/5's to keep the games fun and competitive.
(Details available at the event)
DYP - beginner handicap
Qualifiers in the Draw will use a 1 point spot and make-it-take-it handicap for teams with a beginner player (again TD discretion)
- BYP matches will be given priority when the events are running concurrently
------------------------------------------
Tournament Formats:
BYP - Double elim 3/5 W; 2/3 L
To prep for MN State, we will run the bring in this hallowed of all tourney formats 😉.
Back to 3/5 only at the final.
Rules for Classic Doubles in the draw:
- All balls served from the goalie area
- 10 sec shot clock per rod
- No shots where the player figure does a full rotation around the rod before or after striking. (No rollovers, flippy's, etc).
The Draw will Run Monster Style and be No-conflict with the Bring at Sign ups, but new entrants can join until 8:30 as they get knocked out of the bring.
Qualifiers: 2 games to 5
Playoff start: 10:30 (last round called at 10:15)
2/3 playoff matches
-------------------------------------------------
What Make-It-Take-It Mystery?
A different shot incentive is picked out of a hat each match. If you score a shot by that method, you get the point and the ball back (this is applied across games as well).
Examples:
- If you pull out the 'Make-It-Take-It: 5-bar' ticket, then for that match, all 5-bar shots get the point and the ball on the following serve.
- If you pull out the 'Make-It-Take-It: Slingshot' ticket, then all sling shots are: get the point and the ball back.
In the 2/3 playoffs a different Make-it-Take-It power up is active.
