Mass for the Care of Creation

Join us this Labor Day weekend for a special liturgy at Our Lady of Peace: the newly established Mass for the Care of Creation. Promulgated by Pope Leo XIV, this Mass is part of the Church’s ongoing response to the ecological challenges of our time.

In his message introducing the Mass, Pope Leo reflected:
“At the beginning of Mass, we prayed for conversion, our own conversion. I would like to add that we should pray for the conversion of the many people, inside and outside the Church, who do not yet recognize the urgent need to care for our common home.”

Together, we will thank God for the beauty of creation and renew our commitment to care for the world He has entrusted to us. All are welcome—parishioners, school families, neighbors, and friends.
