Intermediate to 3D Printing

Join us at Twin Cities Maker to learn more of the intricacies of 3D printers, materials, and configurations that go into creating any item on a typical FDM 3d printer.

We will be going over some CAD/Mesh basics to show you how you can bring your ideas to life and rapid prototype as well the introduction of other tools you can use to reverse engineer just about anything in the world.

Each student will have access to their own 3D printer to get for a hands-on experience and should walk out with a couple of their own designed 3D prints.

Items to Bring With You to Class

Bringing a laptop is a must! We will be going over CAD/Mesh software and bringing 3D models created in house and sending them to your printer to print.

These are optional if you already have the equipment:

• 3D printer
• Tools that came with printer and filament

This is a intermediate class. Prior knowledge to using and understanding 3D printers and some basic knowledge of 3D model manipulation weather it's through CAD or a Mesh based software.

You may bring your own 3D printer if you wish for this class.

Jaysen Becerra is a long-time member of TC maker and has been into 3D printing technology for 15+ years including the use of industrial and medical equipment.

When time allows it, he's always exploring new ways to use/improve additive manufacturing or making costumes.
