Cassie Ramone, Dustin James

CASSIE RAMONE is the songwriter, frontwoman, and guitarist for VIVIAN GIRLS. Her most recent release was the VIVIAN GIRLS record MEMORY (2019). She is also in THE BABIES with KEVIN MORBY.

Minneapolis-based songwriter Dustin James was the bassist for the garage rock band Green/Blue and the creative force behind the noisy shoegaze trio Waveless. The sound of his latest album Paper Star combines the subtlety, darkness, and experimentation of these past projects, yet also marks a more intimate and contemplative departure.
James is also a visual artist and printmaker, and the elegance and delicate technique of these songs make for the musical equivalents of the works of Richard Tuttle or Brice Marden. The songwriting is especially indebted to artists like Sparklehorse, Lou Barlow, and Dean Wareham.
