Alright, the time is now! I’m finally ready to make this a real thing, I mean I'd love to be cool about this, play it off like it’s no big deal, like it’s something I do all the time. . . but i’m not cool and this IS a big deal and it’s been 8 years and I’m finally ready to share that I will be releasing a new album called Brian Just:Countryside! I'm over the moon about it and it’s coming out on October 24th, 2025.
It’s a FOLK record through the lens of my blend of psych-pop daydreams, bustling intricate chamber ballads, the stillness of the natural world, white throated sparrow bossa nova, broken branches from the tree of life, the pacific ocean waves and rusty swing sets. It’s trippy and weird, loaded with love songs, it ponders landscapes, seascapes and escape(escapes), it’s about fatherhood, it's about failures and hopefulness. I swear it’s brighter than dark! There’s silly songs and sentimental songs and I believe (so that’s one person at least) that they all fit nicely together!
So won’t you please join me for a Party! There will be special guest performances, the Brian Just Band performing songs from the new record, drinks, dancing, generally positive lovely vibes and You!
This new album will be available digitally and on CD, but get to one of these fall shows (more to come) to get a limited first pressing of 100 copies of Brian Just Countryside on 180g heavy vinyl.
