Where: Sprout House (2601 16th Ave S, Minneapolis)
When: 1st Thur 6:30 - 8:30 pm (out by 9!)
Who: All who are interested to learn and practice NVC!
Cost: Donation-based! Donations of any amount are welcome, if you are able and moved to do so. No worries if not. There’s no amount too small (or large)!
Commitment: None (Attend when you can! No regular commitment needed for attendance! You can arrive anytime and leave anytime from 6:30-9pm.
Event flow: eat & chat, opening circle at 7pm (handouts & content review), then work in small-groups for timed intervals, switch as desired across groups.
FOOD: snacks potluck style. If you’re able and interested in bringing food or drink, please do! But no worries if not, please come and enjoy anyway!
Content: We will offer some structured content for each small-group to review before diving into the group work. Groups will focus on topics like:
(a) practicing specific NVC & mindfulness exercises from Oren Jay Sofer’s book, “Say What You Mean”:
(b) role-playing that next HARD conversation you need to have with someone,
(c) practicing “do-over’s” for that hard conversation that didn’t go as you planned,
(d) philosophizing about NVC and its limitations and strengths!
