Join artists & artisans at Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts for Fiber Faire 2025! Farmers, fashionistas, and makers will be on hand to share all the wonderful ways we use fiber to express ourselves. Join us for demos, shopping, and a fashion show, all during Mineral Point’s Cornish Festival & Celtic Celebration!
Fiber Arts Demos: With craftspeople, artists, and farmers all over campus, you’ll learn from artisans who make by hand, and may walk away inspired by something new yourself. We’re excited to welcome:
-Maday Delgado of Sustainable Textile Design, who specializes in functional art, upcycling & recycling, preserving & mending
-Carole Spelic, fiber & mixed media artist, demonstrating weaving
-Shannon Badger and Dar Bicha-Dale, demonstrating spinning
-Midwest Linen Revival, sharing about sustainably grown flax and processed linen to benefit local farmers and economies, while building community
-Terri Wolf, fiber artist, demonstrating felting in all sorts of ways
-Sheep from Sugar Spring Farm! Learn about heritage breeds, and the life cycle from fleece to yarn.
Shop: Enjoy our market of artisan goods and handmade items just in time for fall. Buy materials for your own projects and talk to knowledgeable craftspeople.

Fashion Show: Strut your stuff in a pop-up Fashion Show featuring wearable art on the Green at 2pm. Show off your fiber creations, upcycled aesthetic, and fashion do’s, for bragging rights! Everyone welcome to join in the fun!
Sweet & Salty Eats: Treat yourself with ice cream, popcorn, and more from The Sweet Life Ice Cream Parlor, visiting our campus for the day!
