Join Walk Leader Graham McVittie to discover the lost picturesque landscape of Ada Lovelace.
Graeme is the Senior Woodland Officer for Exmoor National Park Authority, involved in the management of ENPA woodland, including Culbone for over 25 years. Graeme is a forester, so he brings a practical management perspective to the recovery and conservation of this fascinating place.
Following the SW Coast Path from Ashley Combe Lodge to Culbone Church we will explore the surviving features of the extensive picturesque landscape laid out by the mathematician and her husband Willam Lovelace in the 19th Century. We will look at some of the work by Exmoor National Park and volunteers to reveal some of the surviving features and the ecology and management of the woodland.
