Safe Steps Forward

Presented by Amy Kuehni, RN Trauma Coordinator, and Dr. Colleen Poggenburg, Care Management Medical Director at Aurora West Allis Medical Center

This educational session is designed for adults 65+ and focuses on reducing fall risks—a leading cause of injury in older adults. Learn practical strategies including:

Vision and medication reviews
Home safety improvements
Balance and strength exercises

Dr. Poggenburg will also explain what to expect during hospitalization after a fall, including discharge planning, insurance coverage, and options for continued care—whether at home or in a rehab facility.
