Rooftop Stargazing (Weather Permitting)

Gaze at the night sky through our telescopes on select dates! Weather permitting, view the Moon, planets, star clusters, and other astronomical objects. Stargazing sessions are free and open to the public.

Stargazing sessions take place throughout the year on the Skydeck located on the roof of the UWM Physics building as well as in other locations for special events. Visit https://uwm.edu/planetarium/public-events/stargazing/ for the latest schedule.

Sessions may be cancelled due to poor weather conditions (rain, snow, temperatures below 0° F) or cloudiness. Please check the event status on our website after 5:30pm on the day of the session before visiting. If cancelled, we will update the status no later than 5:30pm on the day of the session.

This event is open to the public. Not recommended for children under 4. No advance registration is required.
