Join VIA CDC, the Wisconsin Bike Fed, Bublr, and others during two events to celebrate the new bike boulevard on 37th Street! We are working with local artist Yesi Pérez to paint a street mural, and you can have a say in the final design of the artwork.
The first event will take place on August 7th, 5-7pm at South 37th Street & West Scott Street, and will feature a community bike ride, food trucks, street chalk, collaborative art sessions and presentations, and games. The community is encouraged to answer the question “what does your neighborhood mean to you?” with their chalk art and drawings. The works created at this session will be used as inspiration for the final design.
The second event will take place on August 21st, 5-7pm at South 37th Street & West Scott Street, and will feature food trucks, coloring for kids, and flag screen printing. We will also be painting the final design at South 37th Street & West Scott Streets. We hope you can join us to celebrate making our community safer and more beautiful!
