Following the adoption of Milwaukee’s Housing Element, the City is preparing to revise the zoning code to permit additional housing types, including duplexes, triplexes, townhomes, and cottage courts. This bridge campaign will keep the community informed, engaged, and ready to support the passage of policies that advance our community goals of homeownership, wealth building, and solid economic stability.
This event is also an opportunity to meet our newest team member, Solana Patterson-Ramos, who will support community engagement and partnership outreach. Solana is a Milwaukee native, community educator, and longtime advocate for equitable development. With experience in nonprofit leadership, political organizing, and public education, she will help ensure residents and partners stay equipped with the tools they need to advocate for systems that make housing affordable.
