About the event

Make Mine Murder: A Killer Panel of New England Crime Writers Reveal the Secrets Behind the Page
Mystery lovers, mark your calendars for a chillingly good evening of intrigue, inspiration, and insider tips from four of New England’s most accomplished crime fiction writers.

"Make Mine Murder" invites you behind the scenes of bestselling whodunits, edge-of-your-seat thrillers, and literary mysteries to discover how these authors craft suspense, plot their twists, and bring their unforgettable characters to life.

Join us for an exclusive conversation with:

Lucy Burdette – Creator of the award-winning Key West Food Critic Mystery series, including her latest hit, The Mango Murders. With nods from the Agatha, Anthony, and Macavity awards, Lucy brings a delectable blend of murder and Key lime pie to the table. (Also known as Connecticut’s own flavor of Florida noir!)

Sarah Stewart Taylor – Acclaimed author of the Frank Warren series. Her newest novel, Hunter’s Heart Lodge, continues the moody, gripping saga set in Vermont’s backwoods. A former journalist and teacher, Sarah brings lyrical depth and real-world grit to every page.

Elise Hart Kipness – From the rush of live television to the pulse-pounding world of thrillers, Elise channels her Emmy-nominated sports reporting background into the Kate Green series. Her latest, Close Call, takes readers from broadcast booths to Olympic arenas—where murder takes the gold.

Moderator: Hallie Ephron – The perfect host for the evening, Hallie is a longtime Milton resident, Milton's 2024 Writer-in-Residence, and a powerhouse in the crime fiction world. A New York Times bestselling author with 15 books to her name and years as The Boston Globe’s crime fiction critic, she knows how to ask the questions that get to the heart of the mystery.

Whether you're a die-hard mystery fan, an aspiring writer, or simply curious about the minds behind the murders, “Make Mine Murder” promises suspense, laughter, and killer insights.

This will be an informal fun event. Refreshments, book sales, and signing.
