The Community Cinema's first film of 2026 is I SWEAR, the true story of John Davidson, a Scottish man diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome at 15. The film follows his journey from a misunderstood teenager in 1980s Britain to an advocate for the condition, balancing dark comedy with poignant drama as he navigates life, prejudice, and finds his voice.
FilmBankMedia, the company through which we license most of our screenings, is increasing its fees from January. As a result, we need to raise the ticket price by £1, bringing it to £6, to help cover our costs. We hope you will agree that our screenings still offer good value for money.
The Cinema operates on a non-profit basis: income from their more popular films helps support screenings of more niche titles, and any surplus is used to support the running of the Community Centre, a registered charity.
This film will be shown WITHOUT subtitles. Please note: this event is UNALLOCATED seating.
Doors open 7pm, showing starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are on sale now.
