August "Artists of the Month" / Matt & Jenn Lauder

The Millersburg Area Art Association is pleased to announce that MAAA members Matt & Jenn Lauder are the Featured Artists for the month of August at the Gallery on the Square.

Matt and Jenn are husband and wife stained-glass hobbyists. They can be found on Facebook under the name M & J Lauder Stained Glass. M & J are more than just their initials. All the pieces they have created have been a collaboration between the two to varying degrees. Matt is better with the pattern design and technical aspects. Jenn’s creativity excels with color selections and flow.

Their journey, which began in 2019, started with the copper foil technique and they plan on expanding their skills to mosaics and lamps in the future.

Matt’s artwork is inspired by books, music, science fiction, and creepy cultures. Jenn enjoys creating three dimensional designs and is inspired by fantasy, mythology and her lifelong love of cars and horses. Together Matt and Jenn make a great team!

Residing in Halifax, they are members of the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the PA Guild of Craftsmen and the Millersburg Area Art Association where Matt is the current president. They have been featured multiple times “On the Porch” at the Gallery on the Square in Millersburg.
