Class Overview:
This extended yoga class is designed to guide students through a profound experience of yoga postures. Focusing on cultivating awareness, self-inquiry, and mindfulness in each posture. The intention is not only to enrich the physical practice but also to offer space for introspection, allowing students to explore the layers of their body, mind, and the quieting qualities of breath. By being present in every movement, students will have the opportunity to access a more insightful connection with their inner experience, which in turn cultivates a meditative and reflective state that can extend beyond the mat. All levels and bodies are welcome to participate in this 2-hour format. Please bring anything along that might assist in your comfort for a 160-minute class.
Skill in Action: In this two-hour workshop, participants will explore the deep connection between somatic exercises and yoga postures, with a focus on the abdominal region. The abdomen is a vital area of the body, home to our organs and often the center of emotional tension. By integrating somatic techniques with mindful yoga postures, participants will deepen their body awareness, release stored tension, and cultivate abdominal strength and flexibility.
Through a combination of breathwork, somatic movement, and intentional yoga poses, we will unlock the full potential of the abdominal area, improving overall posture, physical function, and emotional well-being. This workshop is designed to help participants build a stronger connection to their core, enabling them to feel grounded, centered, and energized.
