The Pike County Scenic Rural Character Preservation (SRCP) Board invites you to join us for a Nature Hike on lands protected through our program. The Rock Hill property is characterized by an oak forest with a wide variety of plants and animals . There is also a unique pond with some unusual plants lining its shore. Our Guide for the hike, Roger Spotts, is a retired Environmental Educator from the Monroe County Conservation District.
WHAT: Guided Nature Hike
WHEN: Sunday, October 19, 2025 starting at 11:00am
WHERE: Delaware State Forest, Rock Hill Pond, 990 Route 739, Dingman Township (across from Lake Adventure)
SPECIAL INFO: While this hike is open to all explorers, please recognize that outdoor terrain in Pike County has a lot of rocks and roots. Participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots to protect your feet and provide comfort as we ramble the woods. Hydration is very important, so please be sure to bring a bottle of water for yourself. Sunblock and bug spray are encouraged but not required.
Parking will be limited so please carpool if possible. Enter from Rt 739, across from the Lake Adventure entrance (large parking area visible near entrance).
