Inspired by the recently released novel The Remembering: Of Leather and Stone by Charles Paul Collins, this gripping, fact-based novel set in mid-nineteenth-century Milford, unfolds through three personal journals—written as if by Collins' own ancestors nearly two centuries ago.
Within its pages are intimate stories, emotional reflections, and firsthand accounts of old-world craftsmanship struggling to endure in a world overtaken by technology.
The gathering will include:
~ A reading from the book by the author
~ Story circles where participants can share meaningful memories and experiences
~ Opportunities to listen and learn ways to develop and add your own stories to your family legacy
~ A chance to build lasting relationships and foster community spirit
Who Should Attend: Everyone in the community is welcome. Whether you come to share or simply listen, your presence will help make this gathering a memorable and unifying experience.
Join us in the upper level of Memorial Hall in Milford for a meaningful community gathering to celebrate our shared history, reflect on the stories that shape us, and strengthen the bonds that unite our families.
