Care for Your Pelvic Floor Through Pregnancy, Post-Partum and Beyond

One in four women over the age of 20 suffers from pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary or fecal incontinence. Many of these symptoms start with pregnancy and continue well into the years following childbirth.

During this free community lecture, women will learn about body changes during and after pregnancy and why any leakage occurs. Attendees will also learn about other muscular changes that impact the pelvic floor brought on by pregnancy and aging. Join UMass Memorial Health – Milford Regional Physical Therapists Amanda Lehman, Erin Mannion and Jaclyn Collentro to learn more about your pelvic floor, how it functions and measures you can take to begin the process towards improving muscle tone and function.
