I hope you are all excited for a wonderful day outdoors on Saturday, September 13th for a BLAST Day at Joe Budd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Below is the tentative itinerary and some things to bring with you on the day. We will be outside most of the time so please come dressed for the weather (all activities are weather permitting). Please RSVP! We need an accurate headcount to ensure we have enough materials for the event.
10:00 am – Arrival at Joe Budd (GPS Address below).
10:05 am – Introductions, housekeeping
10:15 am – Project Flying WILD demonstration and discussion on how to incorporate this awesome program into your classroom.
11:00 am – Nature Hike through the Joe Budd uplands (1/2 a mile in length, terrain is level but thick with roots, ticks, and mosquitos, please wear bug spray).
11:30 am – Lunch under our covered pavilion. We have a fridge, but we do not have a drink machine or a water fountain. We do have filtered water from our sink so please bring a reusable water bottle.
12:00 pm – Discussion about our In-School program and programs offered at Joe Budd and a chance to schedule for a 2022/23 school year.
12:30 pm – A brief archery lesson.
1:00 pm – Depart

A reusable water bottle
Bug spray and sunscreen
A bagged lunch
GPS Directions: Please use 639 Pond Road, Midway 32343 to get to Joe Budd. When you are near Joe Budd (once you turn off HWY 90) you will see large blue signs with arrows. Follow the blue signs all the way to our cabin. We are located on a dirt road that can get very muddy after a heavy rain.
