Learn how to sustainably collect native plant seeds with Little Forks Conservancy! Attendees will learn how to identify native plants, techniques for collecting seeds and how to use them to promote biodiversity in their own backyards. This event includes a guided hike on rustic trails throughout the Conservancy's newest property, Nelson Woods.
This event will be held on Tuesday, September 30th from 5:30 -7 PM at Nelson Woods.
What to Bring
Attendees should dress accordingly for the weather and hiking on rustic grass and dirt trails on uneven surfaces. Attendees can also bring small containers/jars to transport their own native seeds collected from the event.
Parking & Directions
Nelson Woods is located at the end of East Penrod Road, Midland MI 48640. Attendees will take Vance Road off of M-20 for a little over a half mile, before turning left on E Penrod.
