This is a 3-session program for parents/carers of young people aged 10 to 18 years.
Shire of Mundaring Libraries is pleased to host this course, presented by Midvale Hub Parenting Service Perth (North East).
The program explores the changing landscape of a young person, and the different skills parents can use to keep connected with their young person. Learn more about:
*building positive relationships with your young people
*setting realistic boundaries
*working out how to respond in tricky emotional situations
*having difficult conversations like; about going out, internet use, gaming or schoolwork and more.
Your booking covers all 3 sessions. The sessions will be held at Boya Library on:
*Thursday 4 September 5pm-7pm
*Thursday 11 September 5pm-7pm
*Thursday 18 September 5pm-7pm
A Midvale Hub Parenting Centre staff member will contact you by phone 2 to 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the program to conduct a phone registration.
(Parents may bring babies under 5 months, but this session is not suitable for children to attend.)
Bookings are essential for this free event. Places are limited.
