Diez y Seis Celebration - Parade & Grito event!

HCCMidland will be celebrating its traditional Diez y Seis Parade on the morning of Saturday, Sep-tember 13, 2025. The celebrations will begin with our Parade and will continue with El Grito, a vi-brant Mexican Independence Commemoration and Celebration, on the evening of the same day!
El Grito will be held at the magnificent 3 Generación Arena in Midland, Texas. This grand event is a collaboration between the Asociación de Charros Miguel Hidalgo, the Escaramuza Charra Perla del Desierto, and the Hispanic Cultural Center of Midland. The evening will be filled with the excite-ment of a Charreada, featuring a variety of entertainment leading up to the El Grito Ceremony. We are deeply honored to announce that Mexican Consulate Gamaliel Bustillos Muñoz from Presidio, Texas, will lead the ceremony, marking an unprecedented recognition of our event.
