Having reached capacity for the launch party of our new book, Mid-Century Modern Midland, the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio will host a second book signing open house at the Alden B. Dow Studio, 315 Post Street, on Friday, February 27th from 10 am till 12:00 pm. Books will be available for purchase and authors Carol Neff and Craig McDonald, in addition to the book designer Leslie Feagley will be present. If you are unavailable to attend and would like a book signed that you could pick up later, you can call ahead and we can have the books signed for you. February 26 St. John's Parking Details:
We reached capacity for our book launch event on February 26, however if you already registered, please see the information below regarding parking. Parking will be available at the St. John’s Episcopal Church (405 N. Saginaw Road) and Midland Center for the Arts (1801 W. St. Andrews) parking lots. A shuttle bus will be running continuously between St. John’s and the Center for the Arts from 3:45 pm to 6:15 pm. Signage will be placed at both locations denoting parking areas and where to access the shuttle. With such a wonderful response to the launch party, we want to make sure parking is accessible and convenient. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Alden B. Dow Home and Studio and the Mid-Century Modern Midland organization are pleased to announce the release of their new book, "Mid-Century Modern Midland".
The stunning 244-page coffee table book chronicles Midland’s unprecedented architectural legacy and validates Midland, Michigan as the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) City of America. The book was compiled from multiple years of research, gathering information from building owners and families, and incredible assistance from community volunteers who helped document the city’s MCM history.
MCM architecture is woven into every part of the Midland community—not just one neighborhood but the entire city. This architecture is part of our daily lives and how we live. Midland’s MCM legacy, including the architects and designers who made it possible, defined an era of simplicity, utility and modernism that should be shared and celebrated.
