ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ son of legendary Vicente Fernandez, first stepped foot on-stage at the age of five, when he turned 22, he released his first album and began his professional career.
He has demonstrated his musical versatility in different genres, dominating the pop and regional Mexican charts and has collaborated with over 35 international stars including Maná, Juan Gabriel, Julio Iglesias, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Placido Domingo, Rod Stewart, and Alejandro Sanz.
In 2009 he made history by having three albums debut simultaneously on the Top Ten of Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and is the first artist to have #1 album in 4 consecutive decades (1990, 2000, 2010, 2020). Alejandro has also made significant strides in the digital music landscape, with an astounding 900 million streams a year on Spotify, a spot in Pandora’s Billionaires Program and a remarkable 8 billion all time views on YouTube. These milestones underscore his enduring popularity and the global reach of his music.
He is a four-time Latin Grammy winner, most recently taking the 2024 Latin Grammy Award for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album for “Te Llevo en La Sangre”, his 17th studio album. He håas a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is part of Billboard’s Hall of Fame and received the Latin AMA’s Icon Award among other recognitions. His latest release of “Un Millon de Primaveras” landed at #1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican chart; fastest growing genre in the world, breaking the record for the most No1s (thirteen) by a soloist this decade.
Alejandro has been touring the world for 30+ years, and his fans have been able to experience his live shows in 18 countries across North, South America and Europe. In 2003, he began the annual Fiestas Patrias tradition in Las Vegas and is currently the highest selling soloist of all time with 22 straight years performing in this city. In his home country of Mexico, he broke the record at the world-famous Plaza de Toros La Mexico, the first and only artist to date to sell out four shows with over 160,000 total fans.
Viña del Mar, the biggest Latin festival in the world, has invited him to join the prestigious event 4 times (2001, 2006 , 2015 & 2023).
Fernández has a long history of helping others through his music and live performance. Earlier this year he committed to donating a portion of the revenues from his Ft. Worth and El Paso shows to Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio, Inc., an organization who provided direct assistance to communities affected by the devastating floods, which claimed dozens of lives—including several young girls from Camp Mystic.
In 2020, he dedicated his Latin Grammy to the victims of hurricanes in southern Mexico and donated $1,000,000 MXN to the Mexican Red Cross. In 2023, he joined Teletón México to support victims of the catastrophic Hurricane Otis in Acapulco. Alejandro has been recognized by the U.S. Congress for his four decades of contributions to Mexican music and Latin culture, in addition to his humanitarian work and the impact he’s had beyond music.
