Join the Champlain Valley Farmer Coalition and UVM Extension for a Grassed Waterway Roundtable on March 4th at 11:30am in the UVM Extension office in Middlebury. This farmer-led discussion will focus on experiences, challenges, and questions related to grassed waterways and filter strips on working farms. Hear from experienced service providers from the Agency of Agriculture and NRCS on designing, installing, and maintaining grassed waterways that actually work in the field. We’ll share common challenges and practical tips for managing water, species, erosion, and soil health.
