Join us for a collage workshop, hosted by Cut and Destroy Art Collective, inspired by experimental photographic practices featured in Language and Image: Conceptual and Performance-Based Photography from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection.
Challenge your imagination and build community through the art of collage. Materials are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend bringing anything you’d like to use during the workshop or to continue your creative practice at home.
Throughout the evening, enjoy happy hour specials on our waterfront terrace, take an art tour in the galleries, or explore new exhibitions and our permanent collection.
About Cut and Destroy Art Collective
The Cut and Destroy Collage Workshop is a hands-on creative meetup designed to challenge your imagination and build community through the art of collage. Whether you’re a seasoned artist, or just looking to unwind, this workshop invites you to cut, rearrange, and reassemble images, textures, and text into something entirely your own. Each guest receives a unique prompt to inspire and guide their collage process.
In a world that rarely slows down, Cut and Destroy offers a few sacred hours to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with yourself. It’s a space to explore, experiment, and express what words sometimes can’t. No experience necessary—just come as you are, ready to create.
Cut and Destroy Art Collective was founded in the shallow swamps of South Florida by Edda Martinez. Fueled by the grit of the hardcore/punk DIY scene, the eerie flair of ’80s horror, and the chaos of Saturday morning cartoons, the collective thrives on clashing influences and unexpected outcomes.
