Pig Roast Series: FIU Tailgate Edition

Join us for the launch of the FIU Pig Roast Series Tailgate Edition at the Pitbull Stadium benefitting the FIU Foundation on Saturday, September 13, 2025. This exciting new tradition will take place on the day of the FIU vs. FAU football game and will serve as an opportunity to bring students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members to FIU.

We encourage you to participate as this event will bring everyone together for a day of food, football, fun, and Panther pride! With an anticipated crowd of over 2,000 BBQ enthusiasts, FIU Panthers, and university supporters, this event offers an incredible opportunity to reconnect with FIU and Alumni and celebrate FIU tradition and strengthen bonds throughout the community.

The registration fee for each team is $700 and will include entrance into the FIU Pig Roast Series for 4 team members, 4 t-shirts, 4 tickets into the football game, and a 40-50 lb. uncooked pig for the competition. The seasoning, marinade, and cooking equipment (for example, caja china) are up to you. Family recipes are encouraged! Last day to register your team is August 18.

Included in your registration: Entrance to Pig Roast, unlimited tastings based on availability, and FIU Football Game Ticket. Children under 4 years of age are free.

If you plan to use Foundation funds, please complete the . You will need to ensure that the project being used for these expenses allows for discretionary type of expenses. The benefiting project is 1001275 – FIU Annual Pig Roast Event. Please be sure to include a business purpose and a tentative list of attendees. Once the form has been completed and signed, please email a copy to . The Foundation Office will review the form and will reach out with next steps.

Those without access to Foundation funds can either secure a private sponsorship for their team () or use personal funds.

Net proceeds will support FIU Athletics.
