Join us for the culminating event of the inaugural Works in Progress Series (WIPS), presented through the Live Arts Labs Alliance (LALA) - our signature test lab for bold, emerging ideas.
After two months of feedback-driven development led by LALA curator and mentor Octavio Campos, three Miami-based artists are ready to share their raw, in-progress performances with you. Your feedback becomes part of their process.
🌀 Amber Joy Layne – BODY OF WORK
A wild blend of dance, theater, comedy, and media exploring the contradictions of identity through movement and satire.
🌿 Alex Gonzalez – LA BOTANICA
An immersive performance fusing theater, dance, and storytelling, rooted in ancestral knowledge and urban myth.
💫 Macarena Pastor Olivares – PROYECTO MUDAR / MUDAR PROJECT
A powerful meditation on transformation through contemporary dance and video—physical, visual, and deeply personal.

To celebrate the season (and the close of our first-ever WIPS), we’re turning this session into a LALA-style potluck party! We’ll provide some refreshments to set the table - feel free to bring a snack or treat to share with the LALA community.
