Experience the world premiere of Kreyol Djazz”, five original compositions that blend the soul of American jazz with fresh, innovative rhythms from Haiti, from internationally acclaimed trumpeter Jean Caze. Following two intimate open rehearsal workshops, this free concert marks the culmination of Jean Caze’s creative journey — blending the soulful rhythms of Haiti with the rich textures of modern jazz accompanied by drummer David Chiverton , pianist Jason Matthews, Wesner “Ti Wes” St. Louis on Djembe, Marty Quinn on Bass and Grammy Award-nominated saxophonist Godwin Louis.
