Combat Sports Take Over Miami: WCSA Presents "Combat Fest" This April
MIAMI, OK — The four-state area is bracing for a full-day marathon of high-impact action as the World Combat Sports Alliance (WCSA) brings Combat Fest to the Miami Civic Center on Saturday, April 25th.
Sponsored by High Winds Casino, the event promises to be one of the most comprehensive fight cards in the region, featuring a gauntlet of disciplines including Grappling, Amateur Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, and Pro Boxing.
The Main Event: A Clash of Veterans
The marquee attraction features a high-stakes WCSA Championship Bout between two seasoned warriors: Jody Linthicum and Burchfield.
Linthicum is a familiar name to local fight fans, bringing years of experience from various Skip Stewart Promotions and WCSA events. Known for his durability and gritty style, he looks to secure a major title against Burchfield in what is expected to be a technical and hard-hitting encounter.
A Day of Non-Stop Action
Unlike traditional fight nights that only start in the evening, Combat Fest is a true "festival" of combat, offering fans a look at every level of the sport:
11 AM: Grappling – The day kicks off with technical ground battles, showcasing the "gentle art" where leverage and submissions rule.
2 PM: Amateur Boxing – The afternoon shifts to the sweet science, featuring rising prospects looking to make their mark.
6 PM: The Main Card – The energy peaks in the evening with a hybrid lineup of MMA, Muay Thai, and Pro Boxing, culminating in the WCSA title fight.
