As the SCA season of war between man draws to a close the beasts of Dunloch's Wylderwood forest stir. Join The Canton of Dunloch and the Barony of Delftwood for Line Of Fire: Wylderwood. Join us for a weekend of singing, fencing, throwing, shooting and defending the Canton of Dunloch from the beasts of the Wylderwood. But most of all join us for the camping, comradery, and fun!
Up in the northern reaches of Dunloch, within the Barony of Delftwood, the event will be held at the home of Ana and Wolfgang at 393 Fort Leazier Road, Mexico NY 13114 . This will be a 3 day camping event starting at 5PM of Friday August 29th and lasting until noon on Sunday August 31st. The site is damp and fire is ok (it’s in the name for Pete's sake). Boxed lunch options will be provided by Lady Ana Sirena de Valbuena herself and there are plenty of nearby offsite stores and eateries for those looking to get food after the event. As this event is set outside in the woods near a creek, bug spray is highly recommended.
We will be having plenty of fun on the range, including the baronial champion shoot and throw, an all day shoot and throw, a novelty shoot, and the return of the Medieval Brutality Competition (this time bring your fencing kit).
In addition, there will be room for fencing activities provided with melees run by Dauidh Amoury.
For those more interested in A&S there will be a class on Commedia dell'arte done by our very own Ixac, a bardic circle, and a bardic duet competition(work together if you want to win). For any little ones running around there will be fun activities happening all day long, including defending the castle, the return of the monster shoot, and a childrens bardic circle.
