Step into the turning of the seasons with us at the River Park as we welcome the early stirrings of Spring. In honour of the Pagan festival of Imbolc—a time of renewal, hope, and returning light. We have partnered with the Ecology Centre for this events and invite you to join a gentle, uplifting nature-connection walk.
Imbolc is a Gaelic festival that marks the beginning of spring, falling halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It signifies the return of light and the earliest signs of new life, such as sprouting plants and lambing season. It is also traditionally a time for cleansing the home, starting new projects, and the feast day of Saint Brigid.
Imbolc falls about halfway between the winter solstice and the Spring Equinox and is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals, along with Beltane, Lughnasadh and Samhain.
Together we’ll wander the landscape, noticing emerging shoots, swelling buds, birdsong, and all the quiet clues that the Earth is waking from winter’s rest.
Come and celebrate the promise of Spring.
