Nissimmi is a chef, ordained rabbi, international educator and speaker, who combines his love of food and people with his commitment to building connections between culture, Jewish identity, and tradition.
From flavorful foundations in his grandmother Miriam’s kitchen to working in some of Israel’s most renowned restaurants, Nissimmi’s culinary journey is rooted in the traditions and flavors of the Jewish heritage, stories and memories. His work explores the central role food plays in shaping Jewish identity, using rich historic knowledge, Jewish texts, and of course, carbs.
We invite you to a cooking demonstration with Nissimmi to learn more deeply about what connects Jewish kitchens worldwide, and to experience favorite contemporary Israeli dishes. The workshop is for ages 5 and up. Participants under age 10 require a 1:1 adult, child care will be available for ages 2-5.
