First Day Hike

Join us at Meridian State Park for a guided First Day Hike on the Little Forest Junior Trail. Breathe in the crisp 2026 air, soak up the beauty of Texas, and help us celebrate the start of our Nation’s 250th Birthday celebrations in true park ranger style.

Difficulty & Length: Easy, 0.8-mile loop on the Little Forest Junior Trail
Meet: 10:00am @ the Juniper Ridge Campground Area
Bring: Weather-appropriate clothing, Water, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, and Closed-Toe Shoes.
Cost: This program is included in park entry fees. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass.
