About the show:

Returning for a 3rd engagement with The Loft at Hermit Woods, Kenyan born singer Wangari Fahari is an Afro-Jazz vocalist who pours her heart into every note she sings. If you missed her first performance, you owe it to yourself to enjoy this amazing performer.

Wangari Fahari is a Kenyan born American artist and social justice leader in North America and in Africa for over 17 years. In her current role as the Executive Officer at Fahari Records Inc. and The City of Beverly, she is the Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging developing and implementing strategic plans, workshops, concerts and community building programs.

Wangari also holds a creative position in the arts, music and culture industry as a singer, song writer and consultant at Fahari Records Inc., She has worked closely with civil rights leaders Joan Baez, David Harris and Miriam Makeba. Helped organize and direct national and international arts exchange tours and direct awareness campaigns for organizations such as the United Nations and The American Jewish World Service.

Centered on areas of human rights, cultural awareness, workforce diversity, social cohesion and economic development. Since the onset of the COVID pandemic and civil unrest Wangari has been an invited as a guest artist, producer, director and panelist on multiple platforms to sing and discuss these pressing societal issues and their impact.

In 2023 Wangari Fahari announced her “Siri Ya Diani” single release date. Produced by Fahari Records Inc, this production is a multi- cultural masterpiece. Today Wangari Fahari is one of North America’s and Africa’s fastest-growing independent global artists in the commonwealth crowned an Eastern, MA Rising Star after receiving the Andrea C. Silbert award, May of 2023 from the Center For Women Enterprise in Boston.

Wangari is a recognized recipient of several arts and culture awards from The Massachusetts Cultural and National Endowment For The Arts. An outstanding performer, her work is essential, undeniable and unforgettable.

She has a reputation of presenting one of a kind and dynamic concerts or conversations that leave her audience feeling refreshed and inspired. A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.

Doors open at 5:30 pm for a complimentary wine tasting. The Loft Doors open at 6:00. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. The kitchen will close at 7:00 pm. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
