About the show:

Leader and guitarist Randy Roos is currently a member of the guitar faculty at Berklee College of Music and an Emmy nominated creator of numerous musical scores for television. He can be heard on releases with Mike Stern, Mick Goodrick, Bill Frisell, Steve Swallow, Bruce Bartlett and Victor Bailey, as well as several of his own. He is also a Grammy winning recording engineer.

Master of all keyboards Steve Hunt has worked with Roos for many years and was the keyboardist for Allan Holdsworth’s group for greater than 10 years, and is heard on the albums Secrets, Wardenclyffe Tower and Hard Hat Area. Steve has toured with Stanley Clarke and Billy Cobham. He is also a Berklee faculty member and a studio owner which features a gorgeous 9-foot Steinway piano.

Drummer/percussionist Tim Gilmore has performed with Richie Cole, Lester Bowie, Sheila Jordan, Tower of Power and many others. He’s also an active educator and clinician with Adventures with Jazz, National Youngarts Foundation and Sabian Education Network.

Bassist Mike Rossi has had the pleasure of playing bass in all sorts of live and studio situations over the last (almost) 30 years. From grand European halls to the dankest of dive bars (and probably everything in between?), he’s played with some people one may have heard of and, with most of whom one should have. Which is to say, “He’s one lucky cat!”.

A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.

Doors open at 5:30 pm for a complimentary wine tasting. The Loft Doors open at 6:00. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. The kitchen will close at 7:00 pm. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
