Kayaking, camping, and fishing the turtle flambeau flowage

Camping is free.

Parking at landing is free. There are dumpsters and vault toilets at landing.

We will meet at Murry's landing at 6am. load up the boats and set out on the water by 7am.

We will paddle along checking out the sites as we pass and pick which one we will stay at at that time. Prefer sites R36, R37 if we get more than 6 people, since they are next to each other on the same island so we would have more room and can accommodate upto 12 people.
Site 38 would be first choice if fewer than 6 people.

Site 38 is approx 1.5 miles from murrys landing.

All sites are boat in so you will have to carry your equipment on your boat from the landing. Using an inflatable raft tied to the back on your boat helps increase your carry capacity. We will be staying in the quiet zone to keep away from the fast moving motor boats.

The fishing on the flowage is great. Im hoping to use fish for fresh protein for meals.

Drinking water is heavy. I bring a couple water filters so I can use water from the flowage for drinking and cooking. Sawyer products are great and inexpensive
