Do you love Jesus, like to share God’s love in tangible ways, and speak English? We have the opportunity to start an English as a Second Language program in our church through the Christian & Missionary Alliance to help meet an important need for the families who are here in our community who desire to learn and develop their English. We are looking for volunteers to be trained to be a part of the ESL team! You don’t have to be a professional teacher to participate. You just need to love Jesus and speak English! The training will teach you the rest!
The training will be Friday, August 22nd. Dinner will be at 5:45pm, with the training from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The training will continue Saturday, August 22nd, from 8:30am - 5:30pm, with a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
This training will provide you with the tools you need to
- Meet the need of those in our community who desire to learn or develop their English
- Share the Gospel with those attending ESL classes through Bible verses, stories, prayer, etc.
- Give you the opportunity to connect in friendship through hospitality with those who attend the ESL classes
COST: $25 (to help with the cost of three meals and snacks during the training)
