The PADI Public Safety Diver Program give you a solid foundation to build upon and covers both surface and underwater skills that you will need as part of a Public Safety Dive Team. This course is NOT a recreational course.
The PADI Public Safety Diver program is designed for dive teams or individuals applying to become a dive team member. This intense course will cover Public Safety Diver Team planning, organization, procedures & techniques, and hazards. The program uses proven field techniques which both meet and addresses important National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines found in NFPA 1006 and 1670 (not including disciplines Ice 9.3.7, Surf 9.2.8, or Swift 9.3.9)
Prerequisites:
18 years old or older
PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent
PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent
If you plan to dive with a drysuit you will also need the Drysuit Diver certification prior to taking this course.
If you plan to dive with a Full Face Mask, you will also need the Full Face Mask certification prior to taking this course.
$595 per diver (which includes the student manual and certification fees).
