Jelly Roll Rug Sewing Class

***Must have taken the "Learn how to use a Sewing Machine Class" or Must have prior sewing experience (can effectively thread a machine, wind bobbins, run a sewing machine, stitch with straight seams). If a student comes to class and does not know how to use a sewing machine, they will be dismissed. ***
You can bring your own sewing machine to work on, but it must be able to do a zig zag stitch. If you would like to bring your own machine, please send me a message to let me know.
In this class, learn how to craft a rug or mat from jelly roll strips. We will go step by step, including joining the strips, adding batting (batting provided), folding and sewing the strips, and assembling the rug. We will be making an oval rug. The full size rug will not be finished in class, but you will be able to make a smaller version to learn. These rugs are versatile, washable, and you can continue to make your own at home!
Materials Required - YOU BRING:
-Jelly Roll 40 strips 2.5 inch wide fabric (quality fabrics like Moda, Robert Kaufman, etc - read reviews if purchasing on amazon. I've had decent experience with Craftido)
-Thread (recommended Aurifil 50wt Cotton)
-Basic sewing supplies: (thread cutting scissors, straight pins, seam ripper, etc)
-Iron/small ironing board (not required, but you can bring a traveling iron and small ironing board if preferred. We have 3-4 available in class to share)

Refund Policy: There is a $5 non-refundable fee when signing up for class. This is included in your class fee to cover our fees for processing payments if you need to cancel. Cancellations made more than 10 days in advance will receive a full refund minus the $5 fee. Cancellations made within 7-10 days of the class will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of class will not receive a refund.
