John Buchan: Beyond 'The 39 Steps'

We are commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Scottish writing legend John Buchan, author of the well known The 39 Steps at next month’s meeting.

Buchan’s famous novel was not Richard Hannay’s only adventure and Buchan was not just a prolific author, he was also a historian, politician and statesman.

Come and find out more on Tuesday 9th December when we are delighted to be welcoming Ian Buckingham, from the John Buchan Story Museum, Peebles, to take us on a journey ‘Beyond The 39 Steps’ as he explores the varied range of Buchan and reveals more about this remarkable man.
