Railroad historian Dennis Hogan will present a novel look at the Houston & Texas Central Railroad. His presentation will examine the history of the railroad, highlight some special topics, and reveal some vestiges of the railroad that one can see today. Emphasis will be on the H&TC mainline north of Dallas to the Red River.
Dennis Hogan, a native Texan, is a retired second-career high school teacher who is a longstanding student of Texas railroad history. He has traveled by rail on four continents and is a member of the Railroad & Locomotive Historical Society. Dennis has presented facets of North Texas railroad history to audiences in Allen, Commerce, Greenville, and Terrell.
