👩🏻⚕️ This panel is a modern take on the classic “Women in Surgery” event - less about polished answers and more about honest, nuanced discussion. We’ll be tackling some of the myths and pressures that still shape surgical culture today, and hearing real stories from surgeons of different specialties.
Some of the myths we'll bust are:
“It’s getting easier for women in surgery - we’ve moved past the gender conversation.”
“Once more women enter surgery, the culture will shift.”
“This is a female fight.”
“You can have it all - you just need balance.”
🗣️ Hear from our panel of women - Prof Christobel Saunders, Dr Amber Moore, Dr JJ Khong, Dr Leah Marley and Dr Melanie Crispin. Women specialising in the fields of general surgery and breast and endocrine to ophthalmology and OBGYN some who have raised children alongside training.
