About the event

Rialto to Bloom with 38,715 daffodils in support of Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day appeal
Rialto an iconic Melbourne tower will once again transform into an impressive daffodil display to show their tremendous support and partnership to Cancer Council Victoria’s Daffodil Day Appeal.

To continue their partnership that has raised vital funds for cancer research the Rialto tower will come alive from August 20 to 21 with an unmissable 6-metre-high hot air balloon installation surrounded by 38715 vibrant daffodils—each one symbolising a Victorian diagnosed with cancer every year.

With an average of 95 Victorians diagnosed with cancer every day the Daffodil Day Appeal remains one of Australia’s most important fundraising initiatives. Daffodils will be available to purchase in the Rialto Plaza 525 Collins Street Melbourne from 7:00AM until 2PM each day until sold out with small and large bunches of fresh daffodils from $7.50.
