Powerplant is a London-based band known for their experimental, synth-punk sound, drawing comparisons to acts like The Screamers, Devo, and Wire. They blend elements of post-punk, doom, and techno, creating a unique and often unsettling sonic landscape. Their music is characterized by driving rhythms, angular guitar riffs, piercing synths, and frontman Theo Zhykharyev's vocals, which can range from a monstrous Elvis-esque tremble to a more ominous croon.
