For one afternoon only, The Cellars opens its doors to a rare opportunity: a side-by-side vertical tasting of Bruichladdich’s Octomore 13.1, 14.1, 15.1, and the newly released 16.1. This is your chance to explore the evolution of one of the world’s most daring single malts — a whisky that rewrote the definition of peat.
Founded in 1881 on the shores of Islay, Bruichladdich Distillery has always walked the line between heritage and innovation. Revived in 2001, the distillery quickly became known for transparency, terroir-driven whisky, and experimental releases that challenged convention.
First distilled in 2002, Octomore became an annual experiment in extremes — each series exploring barley varieties, cask types, and peat levels measured in parts per million (PPM).
What makes Octomore remarkable isn’t just its reputation as “the world’s most heavily peated whisky,” but the artistry in balancing smoke, barley, fruit, and texture. Each release is bottled young, typically 5 years and at cask strength, yet offers astonishing depth, complexity, and individuality that dazzles the palate.
